A doula is a non-medical birth attendant, provider of emotional and physical support to a woman, her partner and their child through pregnancy, labour and the neonatal period. I continue to work with families afterwards until they feel strong and confident in their gloriousness as parents. Since you've landed here though, you probably already knew that. .x

Research has shown that yoga during pregnancy is proven to decrease the duration, discomforts and complications of labour.
Massage improves wellbeing & comfort in pregnancy, relieves pain during childbirth and is effective for improved postnatal recovery. Research shows that women receiving massage in pregnancy report reduced anxiety, improved mood, better sleep and less back pain. They have fewer complications during labor and their infants had fewer postnatal complications.
